Cautionary tale of Sam and Jane

Sam: Yes Jane, put some eggs here, this is a good spot, don't worry I am watching out for you....

...here too, that's right, like they say, don't put all your eggs into one basket.... why of course I am still watching out for that ....

....oops....

....bye Jane....it was fun having you...

While trying to get a good shot of these Bicolored Damseflies Ceriagrion cerinorubellum, I drove them straight into the path of a pouncing Green Paddy frog Rana erythraea.

A cloudy day at SBG.

It started all so beautifully (I won't say innocently)and such a tragic ending. Fantastic photography!

Thanks for your comments Trudi, but I find the flash too harsh in these photos ....need a tripod.

I feel rather inadequate after the first photos but sorry for them all the same after Mr Froggy spied them.

In my area here nobody has or sells seed of this plant. You could try cairns and cooktown botanical gardens. Here are the e-mails:
gardens@cairns.qld.gov.au

botanic_gardens@cook.qld.gov.au

I am sure one of them will be able to sell you seed. Generally they are very helpful with requests.
