Ember Fire

Well, I like this photo quite a bit. There was no special effect in this, what I saw and capture is what appeared here. The background yellow light came from my newly created DIY water feature and I intentionally placed the small LED light to cast a shadow of the flower on the leaf.

This Seemania sylvatica is seed grown and can spread rapidly by underground stems, forming a spectacular carpet if humidity is kept high.

georgous shot... just goes to show that with a little thought, we don't need all the photoshop software to make a good picture.

I am underwhelmed by this picture. Is this the best you can do?

I would love to follow this blog, but where is your follow button for Blogspot? By chance, do you ever take any pics of plants in Armenia?

"Ember Fire" truly is a beautiful picture. And I like the fact that it has no special effects. The best, most beautiful pictures are those that do not require any manipulation.

I may not be academically pursuing anything about foliage/flora and the such, however I find the images you take to be absolutely brilliant and your posts all seem to be incredibly intriguing.

You've earned yourself a follower, m'lad!

Very cool. Was there flash involved?

Yep...there's nothing like good ol' fashioned photography! No cropping this, or manipulating that -- just plain and simple presentation of the truth of GOD's nature. And your keen eye is a gift from above...and i appreciate your talent and thank you for sharing it.

You are flattering me Rin, its mostly technology nowadays, just point and shoot.

And Lavina, no flash, it will bleach the colours. Just go real slooow

loved the pictures taken by you. I wanted to ask you which camera would you recommend for a novice who loves to take outdoor shots of mountains and birds. Medium budget. Any suggestions?

Do you also have an interest in macro photography? Please do a "thumbelina" perspective one of these days -- most of us are so harried and rushed nowadays that we don't make the time to smell the roses -- that we don't get our noses brushed with pollen anymore.

i bet you've immersed yourself in the inside of the plants as well as the gorgeous outside of them. i hope you will also gift us with their inner beauty.
