Hoya sariae

This recently described, slow growing Hoya from the Philippines is not an easy grower for me, but its beautiful campanulate bloom is worth all the trouble. I am trying a few tricks to make it happy but it appears that new shoots still tend to dry up without warning.

I love Hoyas. This one is absolutely stunning.
I have a few growing in my garden; some from Thailand and some from Australia. Naturally the Australian ones grow very well.
As you say, when it is very beautiful and you want it it is worth trying to grow it.

I just spent the last 20 minutes looking for information on Hoyas because of this post! Actually, I have seen the plant mentioned in several other blogs (I think Titania's is one of them!) but didn't get any further than doing just that, reading about them. I'm so glad that you added this image because now I've found a tropical plant source not too far from where I live. I'm amazed at how many varieties there are.
